RACING
Our racing program is designed to be a fun competition and reason to get your boat
out on our local namesake lake, Blue Marsh. With the variety of boats (15' to 19' monohulls) we have
adopted the Portsmouth rating system to handicap the boats in order to give everybody a chance to excel.
A knowledge of general sailing rules of the road plus some common sense rules regarding rounding is all a potential racer needs to know to get started. Racing procedures are explained before each race. Races are held on Saturdays and Sundays and racing starts at 11:00 am.
